Cheapshark for video game deals
OK if you have kids, then you know all about video games, and how some of them cost @#$% money. Apparently there is a site called cheapshark that will help you find the best price for a given game. Haven’t … Continue reading

Mining bitcoins with a RPi
Nice write-up on how to setup a raspberry pi to mine bitcoins. Sad part is its almost next to impossible to get any with such a small CPU. I did set this up myself about a year ago, with litecoins, … Continue reading

jscut.org, Maybe a better way to make 2D gcode?
OK started back up on CNC again now that some personal projects are done. I’m still stuck on CAM right now, started tinkering with Inkscape, but didn’t get too far. I came across this website, jscut.org, that provides a pretty … Continue reading

Automatic bike brake light
Good idea, the author took a cheap rear bicycle light and put some switches (homemade) to his brakes and it triggers the light. My 2 cents. I think I would have put them in the handlebars, maybe a contact switch … Continue reading
A hacker database?
OK this struck me as odd. Article goes on about a database that supposedly lists out hackers (http://indexeus.com/) and personal info. It won’t give you a free search and it requires registration….. No info to validate the results….hummm http://www.engadget.com/2014/07/20/indexeus/?ncid=rss_truncated

Mist a stick, great for kids, and waterbills
Its been a pretty nice summer sofar, but just incase you get a heatwave, might be worth building one of these to keep the kids cool. The instructions are pretty straight forward, and reminds me of the Kid Wash that … Continue reading
Xerox the largest employer (publicly held) in Rochester
I’m still trying to figure out if this is good or bad. Good since Xerox is now the number 1 employer (not counting private companies like UofR, or the Rochester City School District). Or that all the other companies, … Continue reading

Xerox and its moves in healthcare
Good article, Jist, the author goes over how Xerox is moving into healthcare services. And that its hit some bumps in the road, but could be a good move for it. http://diginomica.com/2014/07/28/diagnosing-obamacare-digital-health-symptoms-undermining-xeroxs-transformation/
