Well this is one way to make money with a 3d printer

I first heard about someone in Texas doing this, but apparently someone in NY (Utica) did it too and walked away with 21K in giftcards (500 dollars per gun). Most of the prints where just receivers or parts, so surpised … Continue reading

Cheap drag knife for CNC

This is a simple cheap build for a drag knife for a CNC, seems to work well with simple CNC’s. https://www.instructables.com/DIY-Drag-Knife-Cutter/ https://youtu.be/AISI2SZbrVo

Build your own metal detector

https://hackaday.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/metal-detector-main.png?w=800 Nice build. It seems to work pretty good to. My 2 cents…I think I would just buy a used one myself. https://hackaday.com/2022/05/02/diy-metal-detector-gives-you-the-mettle-to-find-some-medals/

Another good build for your own nano leafs

Me…I am on the fence on this, the look is cool, but I can’t justify the cost even with building my own. https://www.instructables.com/LED-Light-Panels/

Neat build to generate electricity

https://content.instructables.com/ORIG/F3I/DLBR/L471K3FC/F3IDLBRL471K3FC.jpg?auto=webp&frame=1&width=320&md=ebb7014e9e5ebedade0ef4db007791ef Nice idea on how to build a simple device that uses gravity to convert things to electricity (of course you have to lift up the weight first). Could be a nice school poject. https://www.instructables.com/INSERT-NAME/

A python compiler

This looks interesting, it’s a native compiler for python.  I do like writing code in python, but its slow to run compared to C/C++. Not sure how good this is yet thought. https://github.com/Omyyyy/pycom

Nice laser engraver build

Add a kill count to a flyswatter

I got a kick out of this one, the author added a kill count to a electric fly swatter to get a count of how many bugs he got.  This project uses an arduino under the hood. https://www.instructables.com/Ultimate-Mosquito-Swatter-Mod-for-Gamer-Add-Kill-C/ https://youtu.be/_ZuR5MYr-M4

Logic analyzer for RPi

Nice project to convert a Raspberry Pi into a Logic Analyzer, looks like it still has a ways to go, but its a nice start. https://github.com/gusmanb/logicanalyzer

Cool 3 color CNC wall plotter

Reminds me of the Maslow CNC in its build. Most of the parts are 3D printed and it has an internal gear to switch markers. I like how the author uses vasoline for “grease”. Parts here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4192091
