You are out of filament switch
Nothing says “I am stupid” than when you run out of filament, and leave the machine running for another 2 hours. Here is a simple switch with a microswitch to alert you that you are out. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:83274

Another opensource filament Extruder
Interesting design (not so sure I would trust one of these that is made out of the plastic it makes). with the popularity of 3D printers, the cost of filament seems to have gotten worse. SO some folks are making there own … Continue reading

I wonder if Xerox is putting some marketing behind U.B.
Been alot of Ursula Burns stories recently. I wonder if the marketing engine at Xerox is behind it. Anyways, here is another interview with Ursula Burns. It follows ALMOST THE SAME LINES as all the other interviews she has done. … Continue reading

I only have so many hours in the day…and well, I create very complicated passwords and forgot the one I need for SSL support. 🙁 Waiting patiently for the snail mail for a new one.

Good article about the downside of callcenters

Another article about Xerox grading papers
You would think this was like cutting edge tech the way the press goes on about it. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/20130506/BUSINESS/305050050/Xerox-getting-into-grading-school-papers?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|Home|p

Worlds 1st entirely printed 3D gun
Pretty cool and it sounds like its a one shot job. But the politics of it have already started. http://www.3ders.org/articles/20130503-the-worlds-first-entirely-3d-printed-gun-is-here.html Chucky Schumer (NY) is already proposing it be illegal to print out a gun. Gee like criminals will be paying … Continue reading

Use a spring and a magnet to organize cords
Interesting idea, put a spring around a cord, and then use that to attach it to a magnet. Only issue I have is if the magnet is attached when the cord is in use could cause some signal issues. https://twitter.com/lifeprotips/status/325792465498034179
