3 IP cameras get the worst security award
Embedded systems have always been bad with security, but it seems with wireless cameras, they are really bad at it. Stuff that is very basic should have been covered (but wasn’t). http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/05/01/ip_cameras_with_dumb_vulns/

Sidecar folks get hit with stings in NYC
Who says the government isn’t too much involved? Some folks using sidecar, a service where if you are going somewhere already, you can pickup a passenger (for a donation) and bring them along, ie ridesharing, got busted in sting operations … Continue reading
The astroid belt buckle
Just so you know, the lady is playing an arcade game on the belt buckle. I like the idea, but more for maybe advertising stuff. Of course for single guys in a bar, this maybe useful. http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Asteroid-Belt/
How to pick basic locks with one paperclip
Good write-up on how to get thru some basic locks with one paperclip. The toilet paper dispenser one I never thought of. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Pick-Simple-LocksLatches-with-a-Paper-Clip/
300 Layoffs for Xerox in Oregon
All in a call center up in the north if I understand it correctly. The funny part is they are hiring call center people in Portland OR. I have to hand it to Portland, they keep a careful eye on … Continue reading

Xerox has a new iGEN
Looks more like a refresh on software and some hardware of the existing iGEN. I have a feeling thats all we will see as “new” from the high end of Xerox in the US. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/20130501/BUSINESS/305010056/Xerox-iGen-printers

Paint sticks, hooks, and presto, cup storage
This is on the todo list. The author uses paintsticks, some hooks, and labels and adds a measuring cup storage system to the back of a cubbard door. YEAH http://www.infarrantlycreative.net/2011/08/organizing-measuring-cups-and-spoons.html

Bosie Idaho the hotbed for call centers
Xerox and several other companies are planning to hire 700 folks in Idaho for call center work. I would never had thought of a region being a call center hotbed, but it sounds like here is one. http://www.spokesman.com/blogs/boise/2013/apr/30/idaho-dept-labor-schedules-job-fair-700-call-center-jobs/
