Using a grinder with a lathe
OK seems a bit crazy, but the author made a duplicator for his lathe with a grinder. Why? Well the grinder can take the wood off even faster, and the duplicator so you can make multiple table legs for example. … Continue reading
Portable water pump
Interesting build. I like the use of pipe for the vanes of the pump. https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Cordless-Water-Pump/
Interesting battery operated sander
Interesting build. Not so sure I would make it battery operated based. But hey, it works right. https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Cordless-Disc-Sander/
Nice looking mini lathe build
Rather sharp looking lathe build. Not so sure I would make one from plexi-glass, but it does look nice. The author even designed and make his own motor controller. More work than I would have done (just would have gotten … Continue reading
Bump stops for your CNC
The free plans are fore an X-Carve, but could be adapted to any CNC. My 2 cents, I was looking at this build and it would be pretty easy to build by hand as well with scrap wood.

Nice write up on making knobs
Only part that adds a bit complexity to this is cutting the t-nut to allow for screws to be placed in to hold them in. Me…I superglue them in. https://www.instructables.com/id/Stupid-Easy-Project-Knobs/

Turn a drill bit into a Scribe
Good idea for old drill bits that have outlived their use. However…you can pick one up pretty cheap at Harbor Freight, so this is more of a project of love than anything else http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/fast-easy-build-scribing-tool-71376?homelistings#post127060
Turn and old metal saw into a plastic cutter
I got a kick out of this one. The one thing that worries me is the one end of the line for voltage is pretty much exposed and near the handle where your hand would go. And get zapped. Besides … Continue reading
Simple Cart Build
Nice and simple cart built for about $40 a cart. Me…I use IKEA like furniture to build carts myself, or stuff off the side of the road. Oh you could go even cheaper with standard plywood. https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Mobile-Shop-Cart-Free-Plan/
Scary homemade spot welder
Pretty scary looking build for a spot welder. But for made out of scraps, it does the job. My 2 cents…maybe a Harbor Freight solution would be better (and safer). https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-DIY-Spot-Welder/
