Touchpad to gcode

Interesting build, the author uses a rather big, and clear, touchpad to draw something that the arduino will convert to gcode, which then can be sent to a CNC. This could be a good kid project (they draw something, then … Continue reading

Build your own toggle clamps

If you need some tall, or custom shape toggle clamps, this is the way to go. Me…too much work I will just go to Harbor Freight and buy them. However, the author does include templates, which could be converted to … Continue reading

OK not sure why I would do this, still neat

The author took a build for a sliding circular saw cut sled, and basically added in a threaded guide to it so a drill could move the saw along. I do like the standoffs the author makes in this. I … Continue reading

Making your own water level detector

Interesting build for an arduino to detect the level of a given water supply. Not so sure I would make one of these as a 6 pack of commercial ones costs $11. Still an interesting build. https://www.instructables.com/Building-an-Arduino-Water-Level-Detection-Sensor/

Cool cement candle holder

I like the build overall, a few things I may do differently. One is put an old tealight within the mold to have it have a “resting spot”. Second, is maybe to add a slot at top to mount a … Continue reading

Nice coil winder

Using an arduino and 2 stepper motors, the author build a coil winder. Not sure what the author is using it for, but I was thinking it could be adapted for making coils for wind power generators. https://www.instructables.com/GRBL-Based-Coil-Winder-From-Water-Pipe/
