Make a Slingshot Bow from a Bike Wheel
I got a kick out of this. Its mostly made from bike parts with $5 in eye hooks and other material. No word on the pull/strength of the bow. But still an interesting build http://www.instructables.com/id/Bow-The-Amazing-Bike-Wheel-Bow/
A food/paste based extruder
This is neat, an extruder for 3D printers that you can pump food, and other paste like items thru. I would like one, but NOT at $300 a whack. Can’t imagine the cleanup of jams in something like this. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/structur3d/discov3ry-extruder-do-more-than-ever-with-your-3d

3D Systems Partners with Konica Minolta
Yes I know this isn’t Xerox. But it is interesting cause I would have guessed 3D Systems would have partnered with Xerox over Konica Minolta, since they bought a group from Xerox and all. http://www.valuewalk.com/2014/06/3d-systems-corporation-partners-with-konica/

Converting your CNC to be a Laser engraver/cutter
Author modified his Zen CNC to use a laser. He built a nice case around it to keep the “laser” from shining out into someones eyes. I noticed Zen CNC’s have dropped in price, down to $360 (before shipping) for … Continue reading

Build a remote bottle boat
Not the best of write-ups on how the author built the boat. And its not as cheap as it could be (using an arduino for the controller, full UNO board). But still a good learning project. I wish the author … Continue reading

Xerox mixed analysis with Services/Healthcare
Author seems to have mixed feelings on Xerox going into services. It sounds like we have allot of potential, but we are on a rocky start sofar. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/06/10/is-it-time-to-take-another-look-at-xerox.aspx

Your own Robot Bartender
I saw this project a while back Its an opensource (well will be) robot that is like a CNC of sorts for mixing drinks. If you do not want to build your own from scratch, you can order a kit … Continue reading

Xerox sourcing gone sour
Interesting article on a university that outsourced its copy department. And how a change of guard is causing allot of issues. Summary: Xerox took over a contract for copy center at a school, the previous contract folks laid everyone off, … Continue reading

MissingMoney.com is Xerox
Its always interesting to find out the different areas a company is involved in. In this case, Xerox runs missingmoney.com, a website to help people find money/property/etc that the government is holding onto. http://online.wsj.com/article/PR-CO-20140606-906628.html
