Interesting homemade windmill
This looks like a good project for kids. Most of the materials are pretty cheap (pvc pipe, old CD, motor from a VCR). Not so sure I would have picked a model airplane propeller thought, maybe build your own? http://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-Backyard-Wind-Turbine/

Interesting idea, but I’ll wait for the Google car
Interesting stuff coming out of Xerox Research where the car is basically aware of the driver being distracted. My 2 cents, I would rather get the Google car that can drive itself. http://www.cbronline.com/news/tech/software/businessintelligence/xerox-to-showcase-technologies-which-can-make-computers-human-like-4293240

Interesting analysis on Xerox
I like the charts they put out on Xerox, showing revenue and how much it is per employee. They point out that productivity is down, and suggest it could be due to employee morale. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/06/14/xerox-value-stock-with-a-turnaround-strategy.aspx

Gee that looks like on happy CEO
The article goes on about how Xerox is moving into the inkjet market for high end printers (thing ones that make magazines). What got me was the picture. The CEO of Xerox, Ursula Burns, looks about as happy as a … Continue reading

Interesting USB to Serial Circuit
Nice single layer circuit that uses an ATiny to convert USB to Serial and back. I wonder if someone will start making this for sale. http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/mcu/037/index.html

Review on BuildTak
Author reviewed a product call BuildTak, basically a sticker for around $30 that you put on your glass bed so prints do not stick to it. The author seems to like it, so it may have allot of promise for … Continue reading
