Build a thermoformer with vaccum former

Interesting build.  I like the idea, just no so sure I would go so fancy with everything laser cut.  Of course if I had a laser cutter that could handle it… http://www.instructables.com/id/THERMOFORMER-VACUUM-FORMER-PATTERNMAKEKER/?ALLSTEPS

Making your own custom grips for tools

Nice build, the author uses scrap leather (I wonder what other materials we could use here) and a PLA based bottle to sew on the grips.  I may have to save this one for a rainy day. http://www.instructables.com/id/MakingFixing-Tool-Grips-With-Plastic-Bottle-String/?ALLSTEPS

Convert a cheap orbital sander into a vibrating tumbler

And I just sold off my 2nd orbital too…figures.  Nice build where you can use an old, or cheap orbital to act as a lightweight vibrating tumbler. http://www.instructables.com/id/Vibratory-Tumbler-Using-Orbital-Sander/?ALLSTEPS

A super simple dremel holder

A bit nut, an l-bracket, and some surgu and bam, you have a holder for your dremel. Only think I can see being an issue is finding the nut to fit on the dremel. http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-and-Cheap-Dremel-Holder/

Another nice planer jig for a router

I like this one better than some, its more portable but…the downside its at one height for now (2×4 height) so its not really adjustable except via the router itself. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Use-a-Router-Planer-Surfacing-Jig-to-Thickn/

Another nice build for hand based chainsaw

The author took an old chainsaw chain, cut it, pulled a few pins out to bolt it to a couple of straps, add duct tape and bam.  Done. http://www.instructables.com/id/Handpowered-Chainsaw/

A Fume Extractor with parts from a PC

OK the author not only is using a fan from a PC, but the case section from it to mount the fan. Good idea.  Cheaper than building one too.  He did 3D print out legs for it, but I think … Continue reading

Make a cheap AC line detector

Build one for under $5.  Never realized how simple the A/C detector circuits where.  My 2 cents…I have one built into my stud finder.  So I should be OK. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-an-AC-Line-Detector/

Make an opensource pellet cutter for filament

I like this build, the author basically feeds leftover filament, or string from bottle, into the build and its shreds the material into pellets that could then be reconverted into filament.  Me….I am thinking of an easier solution/build. http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Open-Source-Multi-Material-CutterPellet/
