Build cool stackable shelves

Nice build with plywood for stackable shelves with grooves to keep them together.  I agree with one of the commenter’s to adding cutouts on the bottom for hands to pick the shelves up.  I wonder how hard it would be … Continue reading

Build a wine bottle fed bird feeder

Pretty clever build.  The author includes plans too on his site. http://rogueengineer.com/diy-wine-bottle-bird-feeder-plans/

Nice build from King of Random for hidden shelf

I like this build.  Looks better than some commercial ones I found on the net. http://lifehacker.com/hide-your-valuables-in-this-diy-secret-compartment-shel-1786150113

Make holders for your fake tomb stones

OK I got a couple of these for haloween, and I can totally relate to the author about them flying off.  Not sure if I will have time to build it though. http://www.instructables.com/id/Halloween-Tombstone-Anchors-Bases/

Cool looking end table you can CNC out

Nice simple design with thin plywood.  And easy to assemble.  I have been looking at simple furniture to build with my CNC (flatpack based) and this coudl fit the bill. http://www.instructables.com/id/Side-Table-2/

Making your own Harry Potter wand

Nice build.  The “branch” looks like a fresh cut tree instead of seasoned piece.  But either way works.  Only issue I see is getting ahold of a drill bit long enough to go thru the wand. http://www.instructables.com/id/Real-Wood-Light-Up-Wand-Made-From-Upcycled-Materia/?ALLSTEPS

One sheet flat pack picnic table

Clever build.  Its a modified design of existing flat pack picnic tables that you can build from 1 3/4 inch plywood sheet.  A nice addition would be to include a way to tie it together for transport. http://www.instructables.com/id/Flat-Pack-Picnic-Table-From-1-Sheet-of-Plywood/?ALLSTEPS You can … Continue reading

Got a bunch of extra 2×4’s, make some easy lawn chairs

Guess they are a form of a viking chair.  Nice build either way.  Only thing I can think of is its alot of wood to use up for a chair, so I would only do this if I had enough … Continue reading

Make a snowboard from a sheet of plywood

HAHAHAHA…OK it does look nice, and I like how the author “bend” the board with water and weight to give it a bit of a curve.  Could be something fun to do with kids.   My 2 cents, you need some … Continue reading
