Smoothie, the do it all CNC controller

Interesting idea, the project is to build a CNC/3D printer/laser cutter/etc controller board that will be opensource.  Why is this interesting, well most of those items have different controller boards now.  So a central point would be nice.  BUT…

At around $100 a whack, I’ll buy separate controllers ($35-50).  Thought the use of ethernet would be nice…

Anyways I brought it up since it would be interesting to keep up on and if someone can scale it down in cost in the future.
