ZMap, looks like its a faster way to scan a network than nmap

I haven’t had a chance to try this, but the claim to fame for zmap is its really fast at scanning a network vs nmap (which can take 20-40 seconds per IP Address). http://www.darknet.org.uk/2014/10/zmap-fast-open-source-network-scanner/

The MainDrain, urinal for the home

Converting a paper cutter to laser engraver

This is an interesting build.  Actually both bits are, the Silhouette Portrait papercutter is a $200 cheap CNC for paper.  Adding the $50 laser for cutting/engraving is a good idea.  And could be modified for other existing CNC’s. http://hackaday.com/2015/01/31/paper-cutter-becomes-a-laser-engraver/
