$40 for a 15 minute talk with a Doc
For US/UK based residents, apparently for $40 you can get 15 minutes of a doctors time over the internet via video/phone. I wonder if I can write that off? http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/us-based-doctor-on-demand-launches-medical-consultation-service-4015-minutes/

Browser Fingerprinting via SSL
Another interesting article. The author points out how to fingerprint a browser (thus ID a browser) based on the SSL hello from the client. Yet another way to help figure out what it coming to your server. http://isc.sans.edu/diary/Browser+Fingerprinting+via+SSL+Client+Hello+Messages/17210
DIY Bluetooth Speaker
Nice speaker, but I wonder about the authors claims at $15. The two speakers are 7.50 each, add in the components and I see about 30-40 dollars. http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Bluetooth-Speaker-PartyBar/
Linux.Darlloz Worm Targets x86 Linux PCs & Embedded Devices
Interesting article, the author seems more concerned about linux based routers but printers and MFD’s would fit this profile as well. http://www.darknet.org.uk/2013/12/linux-darlloz-worm-targets-x86-linux-pcs-embedded-devices/

Time Warner Cable Open To Including Netflix On Its Set-Top Boxes
Wow, how things change. Time warner was fighting against other streaming companies and now…its joining them. Could this lead to a model change for TW? http://www.ubergizmo.com/2013/12/time-warner-cable-open-to-including-netflix-on-its-set-top-boxes/?utm_source=mainrss
Ultrabright LED Emergency Lamp
Pretty simple and straightforward build LED light. Not so sure about putting a hot cree LED on a lithium battery thought. http://www.instructables.com/id/Ultrabright-LED-Emergency-Lamp/
Transforming an old PC box into a mini-indoor grow system. Transformar la caja de un viejo PC un sistema mini-indoor de cultivo.
After I stopped laughing, I thought this is a pretty good idea. Its self contained, easy to store, and fire resistant. http://www.instructables.com/id/Transforming-an-old-PC-box-into-a-mini-indoor-grow/

Interesting article about GM’s new CEO, Mary Barra, from the sounds of it, she has a similar story to Urusla Burns. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/she-the-people/wp/2013/12/10/with-mary-barra-appointment-gm-joins-yahoo-ibm-xerox-with-a-woman-in-charge/
