Interesting build for bike power
I have to love this build. The author basically takes a bike, puts it on a stand, takes the chain off and attaches another chain with a hub that has a flywheel on it to drive another mechanical system. It … Continue reading
Build a shaking cleaner for bike chains
Interesting build where the author basically uses a motor to “shake” a container with a bike chain and cleaner to clean it up. My 2 cents, you could use this for other things to shake as well. http://hackaday.com/2015/04/15/diy-automatic-chain-cleaning-machine/
Convert a shaft from an old golf club to remove stripped screws
In wood only. The video shows how to convert an old golf shaft into a small hole saw to remove the screw. http://workshop.lifehacker.com/make-a-tiny-hole-saw-to-remove-stripped-screws-1697658699
Build your own mini wood lathe
All I can say is wow this would be alot of work. But…since wood lathes are not cheap, it could be worth it. Most of the wood I could find for scrap I have. Motor…well old appliances would be a … Continue reading
Another Steel Etching build
Another interesting build to make an etcher for metal with an old wallwart. My 2 cents, I have a cheap gizmo from Harbor Frieght that does this without the hacking of the wall wart, but still an interesting build. http://www.instructables.com/id/Steel-Etching-and-Marking-from-a-DC-Adapter/

Make your own cord reel
Nice idea, the author took a 100 foot extension cord and make a reel with it. Not so sure I would do the electric box bit. I think I would just have the other end sticking out here. http://www.instructables.com/id/Extension-Cord-Reel/
Making a simple pipe clamp
At first I thought someone just hacked off a gooseneck on a bike. But I read the write up and the author took a piece of a pipe and make this with a bolt and a washer. I am not … Continue reading
Simple sandpaper sheet cutter
OK I have to make one of these. I always cut the sheet by hand for my sanders, this would be so much easier…. http://www.instructables.com/id/Sandpaper-Cutter/?ALLSTEPS
Nicest looking PC fan based fume extractor yet
This has to be the nicest fume extractor I have seen yet with a PC fan and a yogurt container. http://www.instructables.com/id/Yet-another-fume-extractor/
Build your own floor sander
This was too much to pass off. The author took 4 palm sanders, used 220 grit sandpaper, put them together on a stick to make a floor sander. It “looks” like it works. For under $150 its cheaper than renting … Continue reading
