Dust Collector (or tool) shelf for your shop vac
OK I saw this and thought. Gee why didn’t I do that. Ist a simple build that you could adapt to more than just the dust collector for the shop vac, but to hold accessories and tools on the vaccum. … Continue reading
A simple cheap disk sander
Nice build, the author took a cordless drill where the batteries where dead. some scrape wood, and an old PC power supply to make a simple disk sander with the stick on disks. My 2 cents, I would use an … Continue reading
Make a bandsaw table with your jig saw
Basically the author took the top off an old PC case (metal) and poked a hole in it for a jigsaw to sit in upside down. http://www.instructables.com/id/Building-the-Flat-Pack-Bandsaw-AKA-the-Jigsaw-Tabl/?ALLSTEPS
The poor persons Electrolysis
Need to remove rust. Are you cheap like me? Well here is the rust remover for you. All you need to buy is a battery charger. I like the shield to keep the two ends from connecting. http://www.instructables.com/id/Electrolysis-for-Rust-Removal-Coffee-Container/?ALLSTEPS
Simple hacks with PVC
Lots of videos on simple hacks with PVC pipe. I like the sign one. http://www.instructables.com/id/10-Life-Hacks-With-PVC-13/?ALLSTEPS
Nice corner clamp jig…but…I think I can get it cheaper
I like this jig, and its pretty flexible in use too. But….I can get one at harbor frieght for $4, the clamps used for this one cost $3 each. So…bit mixed on this one. http://www.instructables.com/id/Corner-Clamp-Jig/?ALLSTEPS
Simple hack to use a drill for buffing small objects
Interesting hack of basically bolting a drill down to a workbench and putting a buffing pad on a bolt. Cheap, and effective. The author uses a zip tie to hold the trigger down. I wonder if a strap would be … Continue reading
Cool trap for mice, and cheap but..
How the heck do you get the bugger out? Its a clever trap, and cheap to make. But … Oh I see, the clip on the side. http://makezine.com/2016/05/12/simple-humane-mousetrap-made-soda-bottle/
Make a tin can forge
It actually doesn’t see too intense as I thought it would be. Why do this? Well to melt metal down into something you can use of course. http://makezine.com/2016/05/06/making-your-own-tin-can-forge/
The best circular saw?
I have been checking out circular saws lately. My old craftsman has seen better days, and doesn’t have alot of extras I want in a saw. This review is interesting that it recommends the Skillsaw SP67WM-22 ($100 saw, cheaper than … Continue reading
