Convert a belt sander to multiple sanding shapes

Nice build where you use the belt sander to drive a larger belt with a shape on it for contoured sanding. My 2 cents, the author built a longer belt for this project, but bigger belts (well if you go … Continue reading

Nice center punch build

But its alot of work, for something you can get pretty cheap at Harbor Freight. Me…I think I would buy it myself. Thought the homemade one does seem to work better. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/spring-center-punch-video-90441#post200601

Making a custom Spindle Oscillating machine

Using a windshield washer motor, drawer slides, and a grinder, the author made one mean looking spindle oscillating sander. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/diy-spindle-sander-oscillating-machine-76002#post144991

Make your own magnetic drill press

The author took a cheap drillpress, a magnetic lock and make an magnetic drill press. Figure $40 for the drillpress, another $40 for the lock. And scrap for the rod and other parts. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/build-mag-base-drill-press-89288#post196194

Making workshop tools with plywood

The author makes a bunch of different tools with plywood, and powered hand-tools. Me…I love the builds, they look nice and sharp, but…between used and Harbor Freight, I would rather save on the time than the build.

Convert a blender to use a dremel attachment

Pretty clever build. I guess if I didn’t have the dremel this would be an interesting build to do.

Nice PVC Vertical Work Light build

I really like this build. And I would only use LED based shop lights for this. I figure it would run $15-20 to build the frame, and another $15-20 for the light. A few things I may do differently is … Continue reading

Another 3 in one saw guide build

The author keeps improving his build for these. This one, it can be used with the circular saw, trim router, and jig saw. Cuts down on the need for multiple tracks. Downside it is looks a bit heavy. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/track-saw-guide-circular-saw-jigsaw-router-88521?homelistings#post193111

Nice builds but….

The author is pretty risky with the first one (2nd block fence for tablesaw) and how close the blade is to the fence, I would use a scrap board on the fence myself. The second build is a jigsaw template … Continue reading
