Xerox, part of many companies looking at Big Data to Hire you
It sounds like resumes maybe a secondary thing to get a job. The article describes how research at looking at how people play a custom game to figure out if you should get the job or not. Kind-of scary. http://www.csmonitor.com/Innovation/Tech/2014/0401/How-to-land-a-job-in-an-era-of-big-data

Nevada’s hot water still coming strong for Xerox
Not not only is the state going after Xerox for the bungled Health care sign-up, but the insurance providers are threatening to toss Xerox too. http://www.8newsnow.com/story/25095601/insurance-provider-threatens-to-leave-exchange-over-website-problems

New Pres. of Bus. Service at Xerox
Xerox has a new President of Business Services coming in, Robert Zapfel from IBM. Has a pretty long career at IBM, I wonder why he left. The other interesting bit was his involvement in turning IBM around in services. Also … Continue reading

Backstage with Ursula Burns, CEO of Xerox
I read this article twice, and it reads to me more like a press release from the “office of Ursula Burns” than a journalist article. I wonder it that was the case here. http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2014/03/24/backstage-with-xerox-ceo-ursula-burns/

Whoa, Xerox makes apps, Security ones too?
Interesting, the first article (below) talks about how xerox is making apps to help with big data, yadda yadda yadda. http://thevarguy.com/big-data-technology-solutions-and-information/032014/xerox-increases-partner-revenue-new-opportunities The second article is more interesting, it talks about an app Xerox came up with to securely process documents … Continue reading
Xerox + Nevada == Bad things
Looks like the mess for Xerox in Nevada is getting worse. Claims are not being done and folks in Nevada are getting stuck with some really big bills. http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/obamacare-leaves-las-vegas-man-owing-407000-doctor-bills

OK now I see why Xerox is playing games
Now I see where yesterday’s marketing article from Xerox is about. Its more about “games” to teach call center folks to do their job. http://www.menafn.com/efe96e74-a7ed-4fe5-a5f4-71070fcb1366/Xerox-Scientists-Use-Avatars-Games-to-Improve-Customer-Service?src=main

Xerox Survey, Gamification makes employees happier
Interesting article that basically says if you make a game out of something, the employees are happier about it. I wonder if Xerox does this with their own employees. http://www.cruxialcio.com/companies-turn-gamification-keep-employees-happy-healthy-5517

Ouch, call for new CEO at Xerox
The true hurts they say. The author brings up alot of good points, Xerox hasn’t really moved in the 5+ years Ursula Burns has been running it (at $13 mill a year paycheck). Perhaps they should find someone else. http://247wallst.com/investing/2014/03/20/time-for-xerox-board-to-fire-ceo-burns/
