Interesting article where Amazon is going to pay $5 more an hour in Kentucky for call center jobs over Xerox (ACS). Xerox it sounds like will not be competing for the pay and think folks will stick around. My 2 cents, if I was in a dead end call center job, and I could get a 50% increase in bay to do the same thing for a company that is growing fast (Amazon that is) in the same area…. I think I would be trying to get into Amazon. But you never know, some folks get stuck in a rut.
