Because of thinking just cause its in the cloud, it won’t fail

Interesting that some folks servers are “vanishing” as amazon accidently takes them down.  Did a little tinkering with AWS myself lately and its pretty neat stuff.  Heck alot cheaper than running my own server from scratch. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/12/20/aws_ec2_servers_retired_with_little_warning/

Google taking aim at Amazon?

Amazon Web Services expected to hit 1.5 B in 2012

Amazno EC2 now has Windows 2012

Amazon now allows you to rent Windows 2012.  But the article notes that unless you pay more (which you will already pay more to run Windows over Linux) the memory allocated for the server will barely be enough. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/11/21/amazon_does_windows_server_2012_on_ec2/
