OK I like this build, Turbine powered drill

Not so sure if I could make the metal bits/spacers (no lathe).    But I like the build overall.  This would be a nice add to a CNC.   Only issue is torque…not so sure you can get enough from a vac … Continue reading

Nice idea, build inserts for cheap toolbags to put tools in

Hum…I wonder about doing this with a bucket based system too. I like this idea, it helps organize the tool bag.  These bags are pretty cheap and basically replace the old metal toolboxes you used to get. https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Toolbag-Organizer/

Nice looking and simple shelf you can make with 2x4s and some 3D printed parts

I like this shelf build.  One thing I would change is the right angle brackets you can buy cheaper (and made from metal).  The tops….not so much. https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-3D-Printed-Book-Shelf/

Nice write-up on how to convert your RPi to be a Google Assistant

So, want a google home but don’t want to shell out $100.  Have a spare RPi?  This looks like a good build to try out. http://www.instructables.com/id/Voice-Activated-Google-Assistant-for-Raspberry-Pi/

Simple write up to cheapify the aTiny

Basically how to make one from just the chip.  I think I would spend the $3 for one myself.  But if you need to have a bunch of them….maybe… https://www.instructables.com/id/1-Smallest-Arduino-DIY/

Another switch with a clothspin

Seen these before, but this one is a bit different as its used in a water alarm, where the asprin disolves it will close the circuit and trigger an alarm. https://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-High-Water-Alarm/

Nice hook

Pretty simple hook, I would not use this for anything really heavy, but to tie off a kayak (as the author does), its perfect and looks nice.  Cheaper would be to go to the dollar store and get a clippy. … Continue reading
